Communication

Effective communication and home school partnership is pivotal in ensuring a smooth, successful and happy year. We pride ourselves on the caring and warm relationships we develop with families.

Before a child starts TSK, we give all families a tour of our facilities and have a discussion about the suitability of the setting to the child. This is followed by an open day, parent information session and then meet the teacher sessions.

We ask all parents to complete a pastoral sheet to include important information and details. This helps us familiarise ourselves with the families and children in our care.  In order to avoid communication issues, please ensure your contact details and emails are written on the sheet correctly.

Face to Face

The class teachers welcome the children on the gate in the morning and will release the children from the classroom at the end of the day. Quick conversations are fine at this time, but it is really important that we concentrate on welcoming and dismissing the children safely. Appointments or call backs can be arranged at reception for lengthy conversations.

Written

We use a variety of written methods which include newsletters, written letters, email and a yellow communication book. Parents are asked to check their junk mail box for emails if they are new to the TSK family.

Seesaw Family App

We use an app called Seesaw for all communication, assessment and photo observations of the children learning through play at school.

The “Inbox” feature is used for regular messages between parent and teacher. Please be patient with the teachers. They are not always able to answer messages through the day as their priority is the children.

Phone

For any urgent messages, parents can call 25623604, Ext 3110, 1830456 or email info@tsk.edu.kw as the Admin team, Miss Heather and Miss Lis have access to this throughout the day.
