Each day there is plenty of opportunity for the children to eat a snack and have a drink of water, milk or juice. In addition to the mid school day lunch snack, we have an early morning session as well as some time before they leave at the end of the day.
Parents provide a packed lunch each day for their child to bring to school and the children eat them in their designated snack room. We encourage a healthy, balanced snack to keep the children active and full of energy for the day ahead. Items should be prepared nicely and sandwiches cut into a manageable size for the child to eat without any help. We love the children to be independent and to develop a knowledge of what a balanced meal looks like. We even have superstar certificates for the children who bring in healthy balanced meals!
